Abstract

In September 2020, Jember Regency experienced deflation of 0.01 percent with the consumer price index (CPI) of 04.64 percent. The expenditure group that experienced the largest deflation was the Personal Care and Other Services group at 0.33 percent and the group experiencing the lowest deflation was the Information, Communication and Financial Services group at 0.01 percent. The commodities that contributed the most to deflation were eggs, broiler chicken meat, gold jewelry, rice, grapes, tomatoes, oranges, catfish, shallots and carrots.

The inflation rate for the calendar year and the year-on-year inflation rate for the Regency of Jember in September 2020 experienced inflation of 1.26 percent and 1.75 percent respectively. This figure is higher than the 2019 calendar year inflation of 1.15 percent and lower than September 2019 year-on-year inflation was 2.17 percent.
