Joint Commitment and Release of 2026 Economic Census Officers

A total of 135 representatives of the 2026 Economic Census officers attended the Jember Regency Government's Wahya Wibawagraha Hall for the Joint Commitment and Send-Off of the 2026 Economic Census Officers on Monday, June 15, 2026. The Jember Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) also invited all heads of regional government agencies (OPD), state-owned enterprises (BUMN), companies, entrepreneurs, and sub-district heads throughout Jember Regency.

 

The event was attended by the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Peni Dwi Wahyu Winarsi, S.Stat., and the Regent of Jember, Gus Dr. Muhammad Fawait, S.E., M.Sc. This event served as the official send-off for the field officers who will conduct door-to-door data collection with businesses throughout Jember Regency as part of the 2026 Economic Census national program.

 

In his remarks, the Head of BPS stated that the 2026 Economic Census is a strategic step to capture the comprehensive economic landscape of Jember Regency. By collecting data on various businesses across the region, this census produces accurate and reliable information as a basis for more targeted economic development planning. With quality data, regional and central governments can strengthen competitiveness, create business opportunities, and achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Therefore, active participation from the public and business actors is essential to ensure the data collected is accurate, high-quality, and can be optimally utilized.

 

Meanwhile, the Regent of Jember, Gus Fawait, invited all elements of society to support the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census and ensure that officers can carry out their duties effectively in the field. "I instruct all members of the public, sub-district heads, village heads, and regional officials in Jember Regency to contribute to the success of the 2026 Economic Census. Give full support to census officers by providing honest and correct data so that data collection runs smoothly, because accurate data is the main foundation for formulating targeted economic development policies," he emphasized.

 

With the support of all stakeholders, it is hoped that the 2026 Economic Census will produce quality data that will serve as a foundation for economic progress in Jember Regency.
