Data Needs Survey (SKD) is one of the surveys conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The survey was conducted to measure the level of satisfaction of data users who came to the data service unit and statistical information on data and statistical services. In addition, this survey was conducted to determine the type of data needed by data users. The availability of the types of data needed by users is deemed necessary to be studied for the creation of quality statistical data and information and the achievement of the BPS mission as a pioneer of reliable statistical data for all.

BPS as a public institution that serves data and statistical information always wants to provide excellent service to data users. In order to measure the level of satisfaction of data users, the Statistics Referral Sub-directorate, the Directorate of Statistics Dissemination, as a technical implementer at BPS together with the provincial BPS and district / city BPS conducts a 2019 Data Needs Survey (SKD2019) simultaneously using a service performance approach, type of data, and data quality.
