The Central Bureau of statistics (BPS) again conducted a survey of residents Between Censuses (SUPAS) in 2015 for a month beginning 1-May 30, 2015. SUPAS 2015 is one of ten regular annual survey of large-scale population data source which is in between the two censuses. Results from SUPAS 2015 are expected to be obtained information of population as well as a variety of the latest population indicators. The SUPAS2015 can also be a later evaluation of the results of the counting of the results of the population census population projections for 2010. SUPAS2015 are also intended to meet the needs of the population data of population census 2010 and 2020 the upcoming population census.
The head of the Central Bureau of statistics (BPS), Suryamin confirms the information collected on SUPAS 2015 includes basic information such as population, births, deaths, the displacement of population, employment, housing and shelter. Espescially, on SUPAS 2015 it also attempted to collect information on population dynamics, such as information about the elderly or elderly population and climate change. This important information is obtained as a result of Indonesia's population projection is 2020-2035, by 2020 Indonesia will enter a period of elderly or ageing population, of which a minimum of 10 percent of the population aged over 60 years.
History Of Activities
BPS has done four times i.e. SUPAS in 1976, 1985, 1995 and 2005. Thus, SUPAS 2015 is the fifth conducted by BPS. Before the SUPAS2015 implemented by 2015, will be held in advance of trial SUPAS 2015.
Changes from previous activities
The Supas2015 planned to add questions to obtain information on international mobility of out, climate change, and disability.
SUPAS2015 questionnaire contains questions that should be asked of 158 on respondents, far more than the 2010 population census that just ask 43 questions. The plan, the result of SUPAS2015 will be published later this year.
SUPAS2015 is specifically designed for estimate maternal mortality (AKI) or Maternal Mortality Ratio. This estimate will be used as one indicator of the achievement of improved maternal health are enshrined in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). To meet this need, the sampling method was designed to obtain information on these extremely rare cases, i.e. by increasing the amount of a sample of 300,000 households into 652.000 households. The addition of the number of samples is intended to get a fairly accurate estimation of AKI at the national and regional levels. This is very SUPAS2015 the highly anticipated results to see if AKI Indonesia already reached the target of 102 MDG's maternal deaths per 100,000 births in 2015 this.
